In this blog post I’m going to show you how different locations can elevate your personal branding session with a recent shoot with the lovely Chloe Ely.
Chloe is an amazing wedding photographer based in The Cotswolds. We first met at LWBC which is the London Wedding Breakfast Club – a relaxed networking opportunity for wedding suppliers. Earlier this month, we spent 4 days away from home together at Barton Court for Brunchfest – a retreat for wedding suppliers where we were roomies and got to know a lot about each other. We both share an obsession for Friends, cheese and quite obviously, photography.
While we were at Barton Court, we were able to create content for each other and shoot some new personal branding imagery. Barton Court was such a big place we were able to shoot in lots of different locations. I believe this is key to having a great personal branding session. Having variety with outfits and locations is golden. You’ll make the most out of your time shooting with me this way.
Chloe loved the pink walls of the main house so we decided to shoot there first.
Chloe’s leopard print top and brown leather camera strap complement the colour of the wall perfectly.
Our next location, we found the next day while exploring the grounds of Barton Court even further.
We came across what looked like a dried up pond filled with long grass. I wasn’t so keen on the backdrop but Chloe saw another side to it.
She photographed me in this location first and I fell in love with the surroundings. I was then excited to photograph her! The tones in the images above are so lovely, warm and earthy.
Then later on that day, a group of us went for a walk along the Malvern Hills. Which was beautiful. The air was so crisp and fresh and the view was immense. The light was also very flattering for portraits – which made us happy!
Chloe now has a bank of images that she can use on her website and her social media platforms. The images are fun, friendly and you can tell what her profession is. This is what I want to create for all my clients. Images that truly represent who you are, what you do and why you do it. Because that’s important.
